Day 01: Arrival - Katra

  • Arrive by flight or train to Jammu and meet our driver cum representative at the airport or railway station.
  • Transfer to Katra (also known as Katra Vaishno Devi), a small town in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, located in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is situated, approximately 42 km from the city of Jammu.
  • Katra serves as the base camp for pilgrims visiting Vaishno Devi and is home to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, one of India’s leading technical universities.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: In Katra

  • After breakfast, leave for Darshan (on your own).
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Katra - Pahalgam

  • After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam, known as the “Valley of Shepherds” (7,200 ft above sea level).
  • Upon arrival in Pahalgam, enjoy the natural scenery and take a walk along the banks of the River Lidder.
  • Pahalgam is famous for its trekking routes and serves as the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: In Pahalgam

  • After breakfast, proceed to visit Aru, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari (optional).

  • Aru Valley:

    • A tourist spot in the Anantnag District, located around 12 km from Pahalgam and 11 km upstream from the Lidder River.
    • Known for its scenic meadows, peaceful environment, and beautiful landscapes.
    • Serves as a base camp for trekkers heading to Kolahoi Glacier, Tarsar-Marsar lakes, and Katrinag Valley.
    • Offers activities such as skiing and heliskiing in winter, as well as fishing for trout in the Lidder River, trekking, hiking, horse riding, sightseeing, and photography.
  • Betaab Valley:

    • Situated 15 kilometers from Pahalgam, nestled between the Pir Panjal and Zanskar ranges.
    • Named after the popular film “Betaab,” which featured the valley.
    • Surrounded by lush green meadows and snow-clad mountains, making it a popular tourist destination and campsite for trekkers.
    • Known for its crystal-clear stream, which flows from the snowy hills, and is safe for drinking.
  • Chandanwari:

    • Located 16 km from Pahalgam, it is the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra.
    • Famous for snow sledging on the Snow Bridge and the captivating Sheshnag River with its clear waters.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Pahalgam - Srinagar

  • After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar.
  • En route, visit the Awantipura Ruins of the 9th century, the Bat Factory, and the Saffron Fields.
  • Upon arrival in Srinagar, visit the Shankaracharya Temple and the Mughal Gardens.
    • Explore the terraced lawns, cascading fountains, and vibrant flowerbeds of the three Mughal Gardens: Cheshmashahi, Nishat, and Shalimar—a representation of the Mughal Emperors’ concept of paradise, and popular tourist destinations.
  • On the return, visit a local handicrafts emporium to see hand-knotted specialty silk carpets, shawls, and jewelry ornaments.
  • In the evening, enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on Dal Lake in a gondola boat called a Shikara. Experience the beauty of the lake, often referred to as the “Venice of India,” and observe the aquatic life of Srinagar.
  • Explore the local crafts market and shop for unique paper-made items and walnut wood crafts.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar

  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg.
  • Known as the “Meadow of Flowers,” Gulmarg is located 53 km from Srinagar at an altitude of 8,700 feet.
  • Renowned for its legendary beauty, prime location, and proximity to Srinagar, it is one of the premier hill resorts in the country.
  • Gulmarg features a famous ski resort and the world’s highest 18-hole golf course.
  • You can enjoy a Gondola Ride to the first or second phase (optional).
  • After exploring Gulmarg, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Srinagar - Departure

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight for your onward destination.
